Still No Phone.
It is much harder to get my phone activated than I had expected. After a few hours of attempting to get it up and running, I still cannot use it. Maybe tomorrow.......
Today I got up and had too many all paratha's for breakfeast. I think when the "servers" noticed that I liked paratha, they continued to bring it out, and out, and out. I ate 6 of them. That is a lot. I was tired from eating too much immediately after getting up. Besides the parathas, I ate scrambled eggs, pickled mango, fresh mango, cherries, and nimbu pani. It was filling. Again. I should mention that I wrote "servers" b/c there are a number of different people that work at Preeti's house. There are about 5 "servers/servants/helpers" 3 drivers, 4 guardsmen, a "laundry/maid-helper" and some other people who appear to work around the gardens and elsewehere in the house. It is pretty crazy. Whenever I want ANYthing to eat or drink, all I do is ask for it. I am constantly being asked "tea, sir?", "nimbu pani, sir?", "snack, sir?". It is a nice life although sometimes I feel bad for the men who are stuck serving the random white dude who only speaks 7 words of hindi. On the other hand, maybe they don't mind b/c I am always all smiles and very polite. "Shukriya (Thank you)........ I overuse the word I think......
Today I went out on an excursion with Preeti's driver Mr. Hava Singh b/c Preeti had too much work to do. We went to the computer market" to fetch me a fire-wire card for my computer (it 'was half as expensive as in the US), we went to the lighting market where we picked up some things for Preeti, we went to India Gate, a memorial to Indian independence, went to the Lotus Temple (looks like the Sydney Opera House), we stopped by the Khan Market (a random market), and we went to the Humayum Tomb, which is the masoleum of the second Mughal king. The masoleum preceeded the Taj Mahal by a few hundred years although it looks strikingly similar!

OK, I am off for a shower and dinner. Be Well.
My stomach is doing phenominal.
PS- Last night I ate barbequed pig belly at dinner and it was followed by a "paan" which is a tobacco leaf that is full of spices and other things (I can't remember what is in it....). You chew the leaf and swollow the contents. It's supposed to help with digestion.....
Be Well......

So about how much do you weigh now?
it sounds like your caloric input is hunormous while your exercise output is miniscule - let me guess - 5 lbs up and climbing!!!
Jon--is that really you? You sound so grown up--and you're writing is so much improved. *sigh* My little brother is all grown up!
I love the photos and the blog. It's great to be able to follow your travels.
More please!
Love you:)
is preeti single? If yes, will her parents let me marry her?
